OUR HISTORY
Box Elder Credit Union has been the ONE PLACE TO GO for financial services since 1954! We’re proud to be your hometown credit union!
We have two convenient locations to serve those living or working in Box Elder County. Our main office is located in Brigham City (1023 S. Medical Drive – just North of Walmart) and a branch office is located in Garland (1300 S Main Street – just North of Bear River High School).
We began operations in 1954 as the Intermountain Indian School Credit Union with just eight members and just $40.00 in assets.
In 1973, our field of membership was amended to include Box Elder County School District employees. It was at this time that our name was changed to Box Elder County Credit Union.
In 1978, our field of membership was again amended to include all those living, working, worshipping or going to school in Box Elder County. In 1988, we opened our second location in Tremonton.
Today, we have nearly 12,000 members and over $80 million in assets.
So whether you are in the market for a new checking account, an auto loan, a home loan or even financial planning, our staff is ready to help you!
